Community Guidelines

Welcome to the Indirectory Community! Indirectory is a place to do business, so we expect you to act like the professionals that you are. Our goal is to help wholesaling brands and buyer/retailers connect with each while maintaining a level of respect and goodwill. We want our community members to treat this just as they would any other business interaction, with respect and responsibility.

1. Copyright Infringement

   1. If it doesn’t belong to you, it doesn’t belong on your Indirectory profile. Any of your profile content that someone else owns the copyright to (and has not granted you authorisation to use) may be deleted.
      

2. No Nudity, sexually explicit content or graphic images will be tolerated. 
   

3. Phone numbers and private information 

   1. We have implemented the double opt in system for connecting with brands/retailers as part of the app. (eg you both swipe right on each other) Part of the reason is that it helps to protect your private information and keep your profile secure. Please refrain from posting your contact phone number publicly on your profile, if you wish to get in contact with a certain brand/retailer simply swipe right on their profile and they will be notified via our messaging system.
      

4. Spam is gross! 

   1. We all hate spam! So don’t spam people from your profile. We’re all here to do business. Just like at a physical tradeshow, you wouldn’t want flyers jammed in your face and every opportunity. Be cool, play nicely and don’t spam people.
      

5. Scamming is a no-no! 

   1. We all hate scammers and we’re all here to do business. Indirectory will do our best to prevent scammers from applying to be on the app however if it seems fishy, please report the profile (at support @ indirectory.io) and we will investigate.
      

   2. If your profile is discovered to be scamming people, Indirectory reserves the right to suspend or delete your account without notice. We are at platform for those businesses that are in operation and are wither set up to sell wholesale to retail buyers or retailer buyers set up to purchase from multiple independent brands to stock in one or more retail outlets. Service providers must contact us separately if they would like to discuss an advertising partnership.
      

6.    Zero-Tolerance to hate, harassment or inappropriate behaviour

   1. If you wouldn’t say it to someone’s face, don’t say it on Indirectory. Keep in mind, there is another business owner just like you on the other end of your screen. Be respectful with anyone you interact with in the Indirectory community. If you are disrespectful, offensive, threatening or rude to another user, we reserve the right to ban you from Indirectory. 
      

   2. We have a zero-tolerance policy on hate speech. Any content that promotes or condones violence against individuals or groups based on race or ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, sexual orientation or gender identity is strictly forbidden and may result in you being permanently banned.
      

   3. Any reports of threats, bullying, intimidation, invading privacy, or revealing other people's personal information are taken very seriously. That means no taking screenshots of other people’s profiles or conversations and posting or distributing them publicly. Indirectory reserves the right to ban any user that has exhibited behaviour that is threatening, intentionally malicious, or harmful to other users.
